ESSIE - LIVE YOUR COLOR
Global summer campaign 2024
In 2024, I was invited by essie to be part of their Summer Campaign 2024, celebrating the launch of three new shades. The campaign brought together an inspiring creative team, including the artist duo Young Emperors, nail artist SojiNails, and myself — each of us representing one of the new colors in our own unique way.
For my contribution, I developed the concept for a short visual piece, which was later transformed into a full advertisement. My idea centered around the theme of bringing color to my surroundings through my work — turning everyday spaces into vibrant, living art. The filming took place in Cape Town at the beginning of 2024, capturing both the mood of the shade I represented and the spirit of the campaign.
To activate the campaign during the summer, essie invited me to create a large-scale mural in Berlin, located at Frankfurter Tor. I painted it in collaboration with the talented team at Xidesign. The mural wasn’t just visual — it featured an interactive VR filter: when scanned with a phone, the mural would come to life with animation, adding a digital layer to the physical piece.
The VR Filter was created by berlin based artist Amelie Runkel.
