BARBICAN
For the Barbican Summer Campaign, I created a series of visually engaging and dynamic artworks that celebrated the iconic Barbican Centre in London. The Barbican Centre, renowned for its brutalist architecture and cultural significance, is a world-class arts and learning hub that houses galleries, theaters, cinemas, and more.
The project involved crafting six mixed-media illustrations, blending hand-drawn artwork with photography to capture the distinct character of the Barbican's architecture and atmosphere. By layering illustrations over photographs of the centre, I highlighted its geometric forms, textures, and the vibrancy of its cultural presence.
In addition to static illustrations, I created small animations that brought the artwork to life. These animations added movement and interactivity, enhancing the campaign's ability to capture attention and convey energy across digital platforms.
This project combined traditional and digital techniques, emphasizing the Barbican's fusion of heritage and innovation. It aimed to inspire and connect with audiences, reinforcing the Barbican's identity as a creative and dynamic space for all.
